Regent is a standout colt, bred by Tom Williamson of Moore Park Livestock, by the influential sire Metallic Rebel and out of Moore Diamonds, a mare by the renowned One Moore Playboy. With a pedigree built for performance, Regent immediately caught the attention of Rebecca Cadzow and Paxton Pulford, who were searching for their next elite prospect.
For Rebecca, the dream of producing a Metallic Rebel foal hadn’t come easily. After repeated attempts to breed her own mares to the stallion proved unsuccessful, she shifted her focus to finding the right progeny instead. When Regent was listed in the 2023 Tamworth Nutrien Classic Sale, Rebecca and Paxton saw the opportunity to secure a colt that ticked every box, ultimately securing him for $210,000.
During his training with Tom Williamson prior to sale day, Regent consistently demonstrated natural cow sense, strong conformation, and promising ability. His physical structure reinforced confidence in his capacity to develop into a successful and versatile performance horse. These standout attributes gave Rebecca and Paxton firm belief in his bright future.
Following the sale, Regent entered a structured and professional training program under Paxton Pulford. With his sights set on the 2024 NCHA Open Cutting Futurity in Tamworth, Paxton prepared the colt through a full two-year-old program. His performance in the show arena quickly lived up to expectations.
Regent became a five-time Open Futurity finalist, secured Reserve Champion at both the 2024 VIC Cutting Futurity and the 2024 NSW Scone Cutting Limited Futurity, also securing Highest Aggregate and Top Scoring GR1 at the Scone event. As a four-year-old, his momentum continued, claiming the 4YO Open at DDCC Dalby and placing 3rd in the Limited Derby Final at the 2025 NCHA Futurity in Tamworth.
