BACKGROUND STORY
Bling was bred by Jeff and Jenny Harth with the intention of being sold at the 2016 Landmark Classic Sale. However, after being passed in at the sale ring, she was later purchased privately by Karen McNamara and Rick Payne. Over the next year, Bling was used for light mustering work with Karen and Joe Payne, gaining experience in a practical setting before returning to compete at the Classic Campdraft with Joe. Following the event, she remained in the hands of both Karen and Joe for the next three years, continuing to develop her skills. In more recent years, she has primarily traveled with Joe, always having a spot on the truck wherever he goes.
Rick Payne and Karen McNamara, a brother-and-sister team from the Mundubbera area, grew up around horses and developed a strong appreciation for natural ability and cow sense. Dedicated to improving their homebred horses, they are always on the lookout for promising additions to their program. When Bling was passed in at the 2016 Landmark Classic Sale, Karen saw potential in her and took the opportunity to discuss the purchase with Rick. Together, they decided she would be a good fit for their operation. Since then, Bling has become a valuable asset to their breeding program, proving her worth both in the paddock and in competition.
